Welcome to the ALCAN
Adventure Program. A series of week long
summer camps to challenge the minds and imagination of children between
the ages of 8 to 13 in a variety of fun and educational activities.
Since 1993 ALCAN has served the Fairbanks community in youth
programs, and we intend to expand our offering with the ALCAN Adventure
Series. Our Goal is to make ALCAN, Alaska’s Premier youth program
in sport and enrichment activities
Goal:
* Hands on experience
* Celebration of Lego in fun, safe, and educational
environment
* Learn about history, collectibles, and current
news of Lego products
* Familiarize participants with content available at
library, online, building, and future career aspirations.
* Planning and execution of Exhibition Project &
Presentation
Plan:
* Initial: Learn history and
participate in enrichment activities & building
* Creative Building Time: Daily Challenges and
Project Builds
* Planning Preparation: participants will learn
Preparation Process
* Exhibition: Presentation to parent & guest and
participants will display their
creations at Fairbanks Venue with full design descriptions
REAL WORLD:
The participants will research and learn information in regards to
Lego, and use that knowledge to allow their creative and architectural
skills to build an impressive display exhibition. They will learn
presentation skills to their peers, and final exhibition presentaiton
for parents and guests. The production and
design will be on Display at a Fairbanks Venue.

Our Mission
Our goal in creating the ALCAN ADVENTURE Summer
Program is offer a
summer-long program of quality instruction and opportunity to enjoy
enrichment activities. We aim to expand our influence to foster
growth in each child’s potential, while providing an atmosphere of fun
and teamwork. We aim to make the camp affordable and accessible for all
kids.

We are proud to announce our cooperation with the

organizations in order to make ALCAN Adventure a reality. In
addition, we are always looking for local businesses and organizations
that would like to be involved with ALCAN Adventure, or have a a great
idea for a future program.

ALCAN FULL DAY PROGRAM
The ALCAN Full Day Program sets us apart from other
programs because at
ALCAN our philosophy is simple: We Care, We Listen, and We Teach.
We consider it a wonderful opportunity to teach youngsters, and make
their week a special experience full of learning, activities, and
experiences to take with them long after they have left ALCAN.
We call this the SCRUFF System: Skills, Creativity,
Respect,
Understanding, Fun, & Fundamentals.

FAMILY DISCOUNTS
ALCAN will offer a 10% discount on the second family member, and 15%
discount on each addtional family member enrolled in the program.
